Meet Alyssa

Hi, my name is Alyssa Kroner. I’m a provisionally licensed professional counselor and a graduate of Central Methodist University with a Master’s in Clinical Counseling. I have experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, OCD and attachment-related struggles.

My approach to therapy is rooted in person-centered care, meaning I tailor each session to meet your needs in a collaborative and relational way. I draw from a variety of modalities, including Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory, and aim to shed light on how past experiences and relationships have informed the way you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

I believe that individuals need someone not just to listen, but someone to truly hear, connect, and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for exploration and self-discovery.

I work well with clients who are looking to explore or make changes in their life. You may be someone who wants to change your relationship with food, body image or those around you, explore feelings of low self-esteem, shame, inadequacy, depression or anxiety, or build a healthier relationship with yourself or others.

I love helping clients (re)discover their authentic self, live in line with their personal values, increase self-confidence and break free from patterns of people-pleasing

I work with individuals in-person and over video, depending on your preference. I will be under the supervision of Dr. Samantha Chace, which means I will be receiving support on client cases, and learning techniques from an experienced counselor to best help my clients. I will be under the same insurance panels as Samantha, and those are: United Healthcare, including the custom-network plan through the University of Missouri, UMR, BCBS, and Aetna. If I am not in network with your insurance I can provide you with a superbill. For more information, please visit our Rates & Insurance page.
