We believe therapy is an investment that will repay you twofold if you accomplish the goals and change you desire. Working through issues takes energy and commitment. Ultimately, the reward is a freer, more conscious you. Maybe you're able to cope better with life’s challenges. Maybe you don’t feel as stuck. Maybe you have a stronger sense of who you are in the world. That’s some return on your investment. We're here to help figure out exactly what that investment will be. In other words, what will therapy cost?


We Accept Insurance and Self Pay

Self-pay rates may vary by the therapist.

We will assist you in any way possible (contacting your insurance, providing superbills to submit, and follow-up contacts). We do accept HSA and FSA as forms of payment. Please contact us with any questions, we are here to help!

No-Show/Late Cancellation Fee is the self-pay cost of the session.

  • United HealthCare Choice Plus, Healthy Savings, University of Missouri Custom Network Plan

  • Aetna PPO, HMO, MC, MEPO, MWC

  • Anthem BCBS

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield is a large company, we will are in network with some plans, but not all so it is best to call and double check!

Please note that if you choose to use insurance it is strongly recommended that you call your insurance company and verify benefits and eligibility yourself. Insurance companies may not always cover therapy visits so it is important that you obtain all the details from the downloadable forms below.

Out of Network

Bamboo Nutrition Therapy is out of network with…

  • Cigna

  • Medicare Plans including UHC Advantage Plus

  • Medicaid, including Healthy Blue

If insurance denies your claim, or no longer provides reimbursement for services, it is the your responsibility to pay for the services rendered. Any concerns should be disputed between you and your insurance company.

Bamboo Nutrition can help verify your benefits or interpret your benefits for you, however it can take us 2-4 weeks to do this. Please plan ahead if you would like to receive support with benefits before your initial session. Email us at contact@bamboonutritionrd.com.


Checking Your Insurance Benefits

We do everything we can to help our clients navigate coverage but it is ultimately the client's responsibility to know their insurance coverage.

To verify or double check your benefits against ours follow the steps below:

  1. Call the member number on the back of your insurance card and ask the representative the following questions.

  2. Do I have a deductible? Has it been met? (if you have not met your deductible you will pay full contracted rate determined by the payer).

  3. What is my copay/coinsurance for outpatient mental health?

  4. Is there a different deductible or copayment for telehealth?
