Meet Samantha

(She/Her)

Hi, my name is Samantha Chace. I am a licensed psychologist and graduate of the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at Auburn University. I practice from an integrative, trauma-informed approach that is grounded in the principles of Health at Every Size. I specialize in eating disorders and am experienced in working with various co-occurring concerns such as complex trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depressive disorders.

I spent over four years providing therapy at university counseling centers and have a passion for working with young adults. I transitioned into private practice in the fall of 2021 and have loved being able to support clients throughout their healing process.

I believe that the therapy relationship is of utmost importance and create safe, authentic, and meaningful relationships with my clients. I also believe it is essential to consider and explore the impact of the larger cultural context and sociopolitical climate in which a person’s concerns develop and are maintained. I am experienced in working with individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ as well as those from various cultural backgrounds. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and compassionate space for all of my clients.

I work with individuals in-person and over video depending on your preference. Currently I am in network with United Healthcare, including the custom-network plan through the University of Missouri, UMR, BCBS, Cigna and Aetna. If I am not in network with your insurance I can provide you with a superbill. For more information, please visit our Rates & Insurance page.
