Meet Sarah

(She/Her)

Hello! My name is Sarah and my passion lies in helping clients adapt to the curve balls life throws at them so they can feel nourished - mentally, physically, and emotionally - in the midst of chaos. I primarily work with individuals in transitions, such as parenthood, pregnancy and postpartum, lactation, menopause, and other hormonal changes. I work mostly with women’s health and aim to be your family’s dietitian! Being able to help women as they grow their family is a beautiful goal of mine.

In addition, I love puzzles and solving problems, so naturally I enjoy helping individuals navigate food allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities. I work with all ages!

Being a dietitian at Bamboo Nutrition means that I am passionate about individualized care and take a non-diet, health at every size and intuitive eating approach with all my clients.

I chose outpatient dietetics because I value building relationships with clients. I enjoy getting to know my clients and working with their personality traits to best tailor nutrition counseling and goal setting. I love to be their biggest cheerleader and encourage people that they can have a healthy, balanced relationship with food and their body.

I graduated from the University of Missouri but grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. In my free time, I enjoy joyful movement, attending concerts, and being next to a body of water!

I see clients in person in Columbia, MO and online. I am in network with Aetna and Cigna. I am working to become paneled with United Healthcare and UMR. If your insurance is not one that I accept, we can provide you with a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement. For more information, please visit our Rates & Insurance page.

Sarah’s Specialties

Sarah believes that women have their own unique challenges when it comes to family planning and navigating hormonal changes as we age. Sarah offers her clients who are stressed, confused, and feel a lack of time to devote to figuring out how to manage their symptoms or navigate nutrition during these life stages, the ability to feel confident in food choices. Sarah’s clients receive education around nutrition and health that will lead to them to feeling healthier, stronger, and have increased self-esteem.

Sarah is very charismatic and outgoing. She enjoys getting to know her clients on a deeper level and feels this also contributes to her ability to help her clients through various stages of their life. She connects well with young children and adolescents and enjoys working with new mothers.

Sarah’s Nutrition Philosophy

I want for us to prioritize nutritious meals and snacks while also minimizing the dread surrounding meal planning and prepping. I hope to achieve this by bringing out the child-like approach to nourishment that many of us have fallen out of touch with.
