Bamboo Nutrition Presents….

The Rooted Reboot Program

What I’ve Tried…

  • Diets that feel like a temporary fix

  • Adding more rules, more restrictions, more limits

  • Exercise bootcamps, gym passes, personal trainers

  • Conversations with doctors about medications or bariatric surgery

  • Programs with friends for accountability

  • Avoiding social situations with food

Finally A Program That

  • Personalizes my understanding of nutrition

  • Helps me to see the root of my issues, the very issues that feel like I keep coming back to this place of disappointment

  • Gives practical, long-term, ideas to implement

  • Doesn’t tell me what to do, but gives me strategies, then makes me do the hard work of figuring out what I need and what will work best for myself/family

  • Provides a new framework for how to think about nutrition and health

  • Allows for me to eat in a way that is caring for my body, but still aligns with my goals

  • Teaches me about nutrition, mindfulness, and meal planning

Introducing the Rooted Reboot Program

A 6week program designed to help you uncover the roots of your issues with food. The very issues that keep bringing you back to the same place of disappointment, dissatisfaction, frustration, and keeps you searching for the next diet or weight loss “fix.”

This program is designed to help you become more in tune with your body and learn a foundation for long-term healthy eating and satisfaction.

This program is….

  • Not focused on your reason for wanting weight loss

  • Not focused on the number, or how much you’ve gained or lost

  • Not for those looking for another diet

There are many reasons a person may desire weight loss. That is not the focus of this program. Nor is it focused on how much you lose. The intention for this program is to address the way in which you go about losing weight, to encourage a healthy mindset, help achieve sustainable change, and improve food behaviors that may have contributed to undesired weight gain.

This program is not designed for individuals looking for a diet. We are an anti-diet practice because diets are not designed for the individual, are typically non evidenced based, unsustainable, and don’t teach you about actual nutrition or food behaviors.

If your food behaviors are not addressed, you may try a new diet and achieve a desired outcome, but you did not change the behavior that led to your primary reasons for starting the diet in the first place.

Diets don’t get to the root cause of the issue. They are simply a bandaid.

  • This is a term that encompasses how you treat food, in a physical and emotional way. For example- using food to cope with emotions, automatically having food with you for activities such as watching tv, working on your computer, or automatically going to the fridge when you come home from work/errands/school. A food behavior may include how you eat in social settings, alone, how you navigate foods during special occasions or holidays. Food behaviors can also include rules and restrictions you set around food.

These behaviors can be deeply ingrained for cultural reasons, from diets you’ve done in the past, and many other reasons.

  • Understanding what is this “healthy weight” I need to achieve?

How to eat in a way that is caring for your body, and aligned with your goals.

Learn how to implement the hunger and fullness scale to increase mindfulness.

Food Behavior Modifications -this looks different for everyone- but we will expose the behaviors and discuss strategies to create new habits.

Review diets and discuss how to identify a fad diet from beneficial nutrition information. How to identify misinformation.

Provide meal planning strategies and individualize goals surrounding menu planning, eating out, grocery shopping, etc.

  • Adult men and women who are wanting to lose weight and looking for a better understanding of why the weight loss strategies tried in the past are not yielding the desired results.

An individual who is on a GLP-1, or some form of medical intervention, and while receiving support from the medication, they want to use this time to also incorporate healthy eating behaviors and set themselves up for success once medical intervention is discontinued.

Someone wanting to build a better foundation of nutritional knowledge. Tired of diets, but not willing to let the weight loss goal go, this person is open to discussing the root issues that lead to repeated weight gain, or difficulty losing weight. Someone wanting to get to the roots, but reboot their understanding of food and their body.
