About

Alpha Energeia (Beginning Action) is a group for teens in eating disorder recovery.

Columbia, MO does not have any teen eating disorder support groups, therefore, we started our own! Eating disorder recovery can feel isolating; it is so important to have a group of individuals who support you that are around your age and understand what you are going through.

This group is structured with time for heart-to-heart discussions about the challenges and truths in daily recovery. There may be worksheets, art assignments, readings, etc. presented for group discussion.

This group is meant to supplement current eating disorder treatment.

Payment

4 week commitment
$150 per 4 weeks ($37.50/group)
Payment accepted in cash, card, or check in full at the time of your first group

Alpha Energeia meets in person at our office: 1905 Cherry Hill Dr. Suite 300 Columbia, MO 65203

This group meets Tuesday mornings 7:30-8:30am

Group Leader

This group is led by our eating disorder specialist dietitian, Laura Rende.

Laura loves to cook, travel and spend time with her dog, Stella. She is from Steamboat, Colorado and loves living in Columbia, MO.

Laura has been working with eating disorders for most of her career as a dietitian. She is passionate about helping young individuals in their recovery and enjoys brining in more activities and self-expression into her sessions.
