Meet Elizabeth
Hi! I’m a speech-language pathologist who is passionate about helping children and young adults feel confident, connected, and understood. I believe every child deserves to feel safe being themselves and to have their authentic voice valued and supported.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Purdue University and my graduate degree in speech-language pathology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Through my work in California and Portland, I developed a passion for supporting autistic children and individuals of all ages, honoring their unique ways of experiencing and communicating with the world. I have also received training through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy to support individuals with tongue-tie-related concerns and those undergoing frenectomy procedures.
My approach is child-centered, relationship-based, and play-driven. I enjoy supporting early communication, articulation, feeding challenges, autistic and other neurodivergent children whose sensory needs may affect communication, feeding, and participation in everyday life.
I believe communication is about so much more than words. It is about connection, autonomy, and having the freedom to express who you are. My goal is to create a space where children feel safe being themselves, experience joy in learning, and develop skills in ways that honor their individual needs, strengths, and interests.
Outside of work, I love spending time with family (including my sweet goldendoodle, Winston), being in nature and exploring practices that deepen the connection between the mind and body. I bring that same curiosity, openness, and appreciation for each person's individuality into my work with children and families.
I am located in Columbia, Missouri and can see clients in person and virtually in Missouri. I am working on getting paneled with insurance and hope to accept United Healthcare and UMR, Aetna, and Anthem BCBS. If I am not in network with your insurance I can provide you with a superbill. Elizabeth’s Therapy Philosophy
I believe our ability to communicate is deeply connected to how we experience and feel in our bodies. By honoring embodiment and understanding sensory processing as a window into what helps each person feel comfortable and connected, we can support greater ease in communication, feeding, and self-expression. My goal is to help every child feel safe in their body, confident in their voice, and free to be their authentic self.
